A new metro line in Asian
The Turkish newspaper “Sözücü” published news in which it revealed that the final stage of the construction of a new metro line project in Istanbul is approaching.
The new subway aims to alleviate a problem traffic congestion in the Asian side of Istanbul.

New subway line in Istanbul:·
- The new metro line connects the “Ümraniye , Ataşehir, and Kadi” areas in Istanbul.
- It is scheduled to open within the next three months, according to the Turkish newspaper
- which reported the news from government sources.
- The capacity of the new metro line reaches 1.6 million people.
- The metro will officially begin its trips at the beginning of next year, 2025.
- The construction stages have reached 85% of the project.
New subway stations:
The newspaper added that the new line targets the north-south axis and will be combined>
with other lines.The stations that will be included in the new metro line are
1- Çarşı İstasyonu Station:
It is connected to the Usküdar-Çekmeköy Metrosu line, becoming an intersection>
point between two large lines.
2- Yeni Sahra İstasyonu station:
It will be combined with the Kadıköy-Sabiha Gökçen Metrosu line to facilitate>
access to the Asian airport.
3- Tutunji Mehmet Efendi Station Tütüncü Mehmet Efendi İstasyonu:
It is planned to connect with Marmaray Station to connect the Asian and European parts of Istanbul.
In addition, the new line includes 11 stations to relieve traffic congestion in areas Ümraniye >
Ataşehir and Kadikoy, to contribute to improving transportation in the city.
